Another group of settings inspired by cyberpunk but instead of looking forward they look back into history. How would a period of history be with a leap in technological ability at the time. Often the technology would be powered by the things listed in the name. Often focus on the visuals, fashion and culture is selected period.

For steampunk the technology is powered by steam and often set in 19th century Victorian era England.
